Funding History

Since its inception in 2006, the Embryo Project has received several grants from the National Science Foundation totaling more than $1.5 million. With those grants, Embryo Project researchers have built digital infrastructures and websites, designed Embryo Project university courses and trained dozens of contributors, and fostered international collaborations among people with digital history and philosophy of science projects.  In addition, the project is generously supported by Arizona State University through the President's Office, the Center for Biology and Society, and the Library.  The Marine Biological Laboratory Center for Library and Informatics is also a partner and supporter, through the Program in History and Philosophy of Science.
