The Embryo Project offers opportunities for students to play a role in three ways.
First, at Arizona State University, we offer the Embryo Project seminar each semester. Here students work in a writers workshop environment, writing introductory articles and sharing them with intense sessions of feedback and suggestions. After rounds of revisions, students submit the articles for final peer review, fact checking, and editing. They are then published.
Second, an NSF-funded Embryo Project training grant brings graduate students from around the world to ASU to participate in the graduate level Embryo Project seminar. These students write introductory level articles and also begin to develop interpretive essays.
Third, authors from anywhere may submit articles for consideration by the Embryo Project Encyclopedia. We encourage other institutions to consider developing their own seminars and students to offer submissions for consideration through the peer review process.
