The Embryo Project Encyclopedia consists of entries that are reviewed and edited through the Scholarly Editing Process including:

- Scholarly Articles and Books collected from diverse sources, respecting copyright protections and providing trusted information
- Original Interpretive Essays contributed by scholars and reviewed and edited as part of the Scholarly Editing process
